IS THERE A FEE FOR THE EXPERIENCE?
Nope, the blending/creation session is always on us. You just pay for the product you want to put it in!
SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS
In order to be able to get back to every appointment request in time we do not allow any day of appointment requests. Walk-ins are always welcomed on a first come first serve basis.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
We have a grace period of 10 minutes. If you arrive later than that your appointment will be considered a walk-in and accommodated at the discretion of the Aromatender on duty.
WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?
All our base products begin fragrance-free, and they are made in-house with minimal ingredients in smaller batches for consistency.
DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?
Although walk-ins are welcome on a first-come first-served basis, we highly recommend making a reservation! This will ensure we have adequate staffing and seating for your group. Please use the link below to schedule your reservation - be sure to include how many are in your party and if you are celebrating a special event!
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
KALAMAZOO
Parking Meters: There are plenty of metered parking spaces in front of and surrounding The Aroma Labs storefront. The new parking Kiosks in affect August 1st allow for up to 90 minutes of parking. We recommend looking to W Lovell St (one-way street) for the most spaces. Most meters are free after 6pm and on weekends.
Parking Garages: If you are looking to be downtown for longer than 90 minutes we recommend finding a parking garage. With the new parking kiosks in affect August 1st, the first 90 minutes in any garage is free and the rate displayed at the entrance will begin after that 90 minutes.
GRAND RAPIDS
Parking Meters: There are metered spaces in front of and surrounding The Aroma Labs storefront. We suggest downloading the MOTU GR parking app to pay for your space (much simpler than coins!!). Most meters are free after 6pm and on weekends.
Parking Garages: There are two entrances to the Monroe Center Ramp parking garage, one on Ottawa Ave and the other on Ionia Ave (both are one-way streets). Once parked, you can either go down to the street level or there is a walkway entrance on the second level, which will take you out to Monroe Center directly across from The Aroma Labs storefront.

Our Detroit location has parking validation for the Z Lot. Once in store scan the QR code to get your parking validated. We have 2 hour validation at:

HOW LONG DOES THE EXPERIENCE TAKE?
On average, the experience takes about 45 minutes. However, it mostly depends on how decisive (or indecisive) you are!
CAN I BRING SNACKS/BEVERAGES?
Absolutely! However, please keep in mind that this is an aromatic experience, so it’s probably best to leave the stinky & messy items at home.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We leave that up to YOU! Your only cost will be what item(s) you choose to make with your signature scent. Our products range in price from $20-$70, all of which you will get to take home directly from your appointment!
WHAT FRAGRANCES DO YOU CARRY?
We have 48 different fragrance oils for you to test and blend into your signature scent! These 48 oils consist of florals (top notes), flavors & citruses (middle notes), and woody scents (base notes).
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE
PRIVATE EVENTS?
Host your next event with us! Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids can accommodate 24 people comfortably, and Detroit can host up to 16. Make a reservation HERE.
We can do larger events as well! With our streamlined mini experience we can go to site specific event for groups from 50 up into the hundreds! We can work with you on any specifics, Please email us at events@thearomalabs.com

STORE CAPACITY
Our Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo locations both have a capacity of 24. All large party bookings can be made as a regular appointment. If you are looking to book outside of our regular hours contact us to inquire about private events.

DETROIT:
Our newest location has a smaller capacity of 16. Large bookings are advised to book in advance to secure a spot as this location will fill up much quicker.
DO YOU TAKE CASH?
We are unfortunately card only at all of our locations. We do accept Apple Pay.
DO WE MIX OUR OWN SCENT?
You’ll create your unique blend at our blending stations, but we handle the math and measuring. Just submit your blend, and our expert aromatenders will mix it for you while you watch at our blending bar.
HOW CAN I REORDER?
With our new digital system it's easier than ever! All your blends are saved on your account for easy viewing. As long as you're logged in when shopping you can add your saved blends directly to each item. Check out our video to see just how easy it is!
DO YOU USE ESSENTIAL OILS?
We do not use essential oils, because they are not always consistent or even ethically harvested. Instead, we work with fragrance oils from a Michigan-made company that are skin-tested by organic chemists and are free of phthalates & parabens.
DO YOU ACCEPT TIPS?
Absolutely! While we don't keep a tip jar we do accept cash and card tips. Our Aroma-tenders work hard to provide you with the best experience possible. If you're delighted with the service and want to show your appreciation, we welcome and appreciate your tips. Tipping is entirely voluntary, but it's a fantastic way to support our team and let them know they've made your day a little brighter. Thank you for considering it!
RETURN POLICY
As a small business that creates custom products with your own unique signature blend, we cannot offer returns or refunds. All items are eligible for an exchange/re-blend if there's an issue with the product, packaging or the blend itself but it must be accompanied by a receipt. Items that are defective will result in an exchange or re-blend within 30 days after purchase. After 30 days have passed your item will not be eligible for exchange or re-blend. We appreciate your understanding and support of a small, woman-owned business!
